Video: Armed Man Breaking Into Vehicles Near Homes: Police

Gwinnett police are looking for an armed man who has been breaking into vehicles near homes in the Dacula and Buford areas.

DACULA, GA -- Gwinnett police need the public’s help in identifying the people, at least one armed, who are responsible for a series of vehicle break-ins and motor vehicles thefts that occurred within the past couple of days.

Between May 13 and May 15, there were several vehicle break-ins and motor vehicle thefts involving the same suspect and suspect vehicle. One man is described as wearing a blue hoodie getting out of a dark colored SUV. The SUV may be a Mazda CX5/9. There may be at least one other person involved.

On Wednesday, May 15 at around 7 a.m., the two were captured on camera at a home on Mount Grove Court. A video from a Ring Doorbell camera was posted to the Neighbors App which showed the two stop behind the victim’s red Jeep SUV that was running. One man exits the driver’s side of a SUV and walks through the victim’s yard. He approaches the red Jeep with a weapon in his waistband. The door was locked, so he could not open the door. The man is then seen on video running back to his vehicle and quickly drives off.
