1. Gwinnett County was invited to the White House's Communities in Action Forum. Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson attended the forum to discuss the impact of the American Rescue Plan Act on the local community. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden attended the event along with the Secretary of Health and Human Services. (Gwinnett Citizen)
2. Northside Hospital has opened two new Health Choice Urgent Care centers in Gwinnett County. With the new additions, the group now operates five centers in Gwinnett County. The new locations are at 7386 Friendship Springs Blvd in Flowery Branch and at 2050 Scenic Highway N in Snellville. (Northside.com)
3. Gwinnett County will be hosting a Dia de los Muertos Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 29. The event will be at Best Friend Park in nearby Norcross from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is a free event with music, crafts, and snacks. The county is still searching for vendors for the event.
