Here are the top three stories in Dacula today:
- Dacula's Sgt. Will Hinton will be representing Team USA in the Shooting Sports Federation Shotgun World Championship in Osijek, Croatia. The competition will be through Oct. 12. To qualify for Team USA, Hinton had to compete against the best trap and skeet athletes in the U.S. in various USA Shooting Selection matches. The Croatia championship is the first opportunity for competitors to ear quotas for the 2024 Olympics. (DVIDS)
- The Gwinnett County Police Department reports that a woman was killed during a Wednesday morning hit-and-run. The incident occurred near Indian Trail Lilburn Road and Steve Reynolds Boulevard. The woman's identity has not been released but reports state she seems to be in her 60s. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- The Gwinnett County Fair is in full swing. The fair will be occurring through Sunday. There are rides, games, entertainment shows, food, and more for attendees to enjoy.
