Calls From Paulding Sheriff's Office Are A Scam

Find out what's going on with the latest scam be attempted on Paulding County residents, according to the Sheriff's Office.

PAULDING COUNTY, GA β€” The Paulding County Sheriff's Office is reporting that deputies have been alerted by several residents that they are being called because they had warrants for their arrest. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office says these call are scams.

According to deputies, the scammers say that the individual would need to pay a certain amount of money to have the warrant dismissed.

"This is a SCAM, do not ever give anyone money over the telephone who says they are with the Sheriff’s Office," the Sheriff's Office emphasizes on their Facebook page. "We will never call your home soliciting money in exchange for not arresting you. If we want to arrest you, we will come to your house and pick you up. Please share this most recent scam information and do no fall victim to their tactics."
