Construction Workers Find Dead Body In Paulding County

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — Construction workers found a man's dead body Tuesday at approximately 8:10 a.m. when they arrived at work, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office. The body was located off of the roadway in the area of 2946 Hiram Acworth Highway Hiram.

The man is known by authorities to be a homeless person who has been living at that site in a tent for quite some time. It is also known that he has an extensive medical history, a police spokesperson said.

At this point, the police believe there does not appear to be any foul play. The body will be transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy.

Since the family has not been notified, the identity of the male has not been released.
