- Less than a week from their big day, a Dallas couple rebooked their wedding locally after Hurricane Ian canceled their Florida ceremony. Olivia Maule and Graham Dumett, who planned to wed in Fort Myers Beach, were able to book Bullock Springs Manor in just two days. The couple was more upset about the loss of Fort Myers Beach, a place near and dear to both of their hearts, than the last-minute change of venue. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- If you're looking to watch Spirit Halloween, the recently-premiered movie set in the former Toys R Us near Mount Berry Mall, you might have to travel a bit. Reporters with Northwest Georgia News checked screens across the area, including here in Hiram β to no avail. The nearest theater showing the film was the Regal Cinemas by Atlantic Station. Spirit Halloween will also be available via video-on-demand services beginning Oct. 11. (Northwest Georgia News)
- The Paulding Pro Rodeo is back in town this weekend! The community is invited to Paulding Meadows Park on Oct. 7 and 8; gates open at 6 p.m. with the rodeo kicking off (no pun intended) at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and free for those aged 5 and under. (Paulding Pro Rodeo via Facebook)
- If you've ever wanted to visit the Music City, now may be your chance. Vonlane, a luxury motor-coach service, will roll out a route between Nashville and Atlanta this November. Rides will arrive and depart from the Grand Hyatt Buckhead in Atlanta β a little under an hour outside the Dallas-Hiram area, but potentially worth saving your car the nearly four-hour drive direct to Atlanta. - Prospective homeowners don't have to look very far to find some promising options. Four houses in Dallas have just hit the local market, and another house in nearby Villa Rica is also for sale. The best part: all of the houses are listed for under $450,000. Visit the link for additional details on these properties, including prices and photos. (Dallas-Hiram Patch)

- The Paulding County High School Raiders had a great showing this weekend, setting plenty of personal bests and even taking home third place for the rope bridge event. (The Paulding County High School JROTC via Facebook)
