Dallas Retailer Sells $167K Lottery Ticket, Prize Unclaimed

A lucky winner of the jackpot, which is well over $160,000, purchased their ticket in Dallas. Nobody has come forward yet.

DALLAS, GA β€” A Dallas retailer sold a jackpot ticket for the Aug. 19 Fantasy 5 drawing, according to the Georgia Lottery Corporation's website. The lucky winner won a prize of $167,258, but nobody has claimed it.

The Publix at 7953 Villa Rica Hwy. was the establishment that sold the lucky ticket, with the winning numbers: 2-3-6-8-15.

The winner has 180 days as of the drawing to claim their prize.

Georgia residents can purchase lottery tickets online, download the Georgia Lottery app or, naturally, at a Georgia retailer.

According to the Georgia Lottery Corporation:

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $21 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.8 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
