- The holiday season has made its way to the Dallas Theatre. Tonight (Friday, Dec. 2) at 7:30 p.m., Dolly fans can celebrate "A Holly Dolly Christmas Starring Katie Deal." For those looking for a Christmas classic, "The Nutcracker" returns next weekend (Friday, Dec. 9 through Sunday, Dec. 11) Tickets can be purchased online; visit the Dallas Theater website for more details on this season's shows. - Georgia Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker faces new allegations of violence from an ex-girlfriend. Cheryl Parsa told The Daily Beast she and Walker were in a relationship from 2004-2009. As per Parsa's report, Walker became angry after Parsa found him with another woman, then placed his hands on her chest and swung a fist at her. (CNN)
- The Portwood Family Christmas Lights in Hiram is partnering with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office for a sock drive. The impressive family lights display, located at 20 Valley Drive, offers 120 inflatables, a 35-foot snowman, and over 100,000 lights. Attendees are encouraged to bring new packs of socks for children ages 6-13; donations will be accepted through Dec. 9. (Paulding County Sheriffβs Office via Facebook)
- Have you checked out this month's mystery read at the New Georgia Public Library? Copies of "When Christmas Comes" by Debbie Macomber will be available for checkout throughout December.
