- Recent photos show extreme overcrowding, including students sitting in the aisle of a bus, at North Paulding High School (NPHS) in Dallas. Tina Thompson, a parent of three students at NPHS, said she is often worried about her children's safety and the potential fire hazards. (CBS 46)
- This weekend is expected to be cloudy with possible thunderstorms in the Dallas-Hiram area. Today, Aug. 28, there is a chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm and a high of 89 degrees in Dallas and a high of 88 degrees in Hiram. Tomorrow, Aug. 28, will be cloudy with scattered thunderstorms in the morning and a high of 87 degrees in Dallas and Hiram. (Dallas Weather, Hiram Weather)
- Georgia Bulldogs sophomore linebacker Smael Mondon, from Dallas, was recently praised by head coach Kirby Smart. Smart said Mondon was one of the most physically gifted players he has seen play inside linebacker. (Bulldawg Illustrated)
- Just a reminder, the Maude P. Ragsdale Public Library in Hiram, the Dallas Public Library, and New Georgia Public Library in Dallas will all be closed from Saturday, Sep. 3, to Monday, Sep. 5, for Labor Day!
