- The Helping Hands of Paulding is hosting a free prom dress giveaway event on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1-6 pm. This event is an excellent opportunity for high school students to find the perfect prom dress without the financial burden. Interested students can register through their school counselors or call the HHPC directly to sign up. The event is open to students from other counties after 4 pm, giving them a chance to attend the giveaway as well. Don't miss this opportunity to find your dream prom dress at no cost! - Hiram High School rising-senior recruit, Clinton Richard, is highly sought after by college football programs for both offensive and defensive positions. With scholarship offers from programs throughout the ACC such as Georgia Tech, Florida State, North Carolina, and Wake Forest, Richard is among the most coveted recruits in the Peach State. He is also considering a trip to the University of Miami in March, although no dates have been set for any unofficial visits yet. Richard has not yet decided on his collegiate home but hopes to make a decision by the end of the summer or close to the start of the 2023 season. (Sports Illustrated)
- Samira William, a 5'5" Black teenager weighing about 150 pounds, was last seen on Saturday around 2 p.m. in Kings Walk off Bakers Bridge Road. She was reportedly wearing all black and has brown eyes with black/blonde hair. Authorities have asked for the public's help in locating her and urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the sheriff's office or 911 immediately. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- The City of Hiram, Georgia is holding a Public Hearing on February 28, 2023, at 6 pm in the Hiram Municipal Annex, to receive public comment regarding the City of Hiram Zoning Ordinance amendments. The purpose of the amendments is to update the City ordinances to be in line with Paulding County's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). People who want to comment can attend the public hearing or submit written comments to the Hiram City Clerk at Hiram City Hall before the meeting. Parents/guardians must schedule an appointment, complete an online application, and provide the required documents for registration. All registrations will be processed virtually, and parents will only receive a phone call if more information is needed. Once an appointment is scheduled, an online application must be completed, and all required documents must be uploaded before the reserved application processing time.
