- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the use of force during an arrest by a Pauling County Sheriff's deputy. According to dash cam footage circulating online, the deputy throws the man onto the ground. The footage comes from Deputy Michael McMaster's car. The deputy remains on desk duty while the GBI investigates further. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- Commuters should be aware that the City of Hiram will be closing Main Street between Powder Springs Street and Arnold Lane this Tuesday, Feb. 21. The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to install speed reduction devices. The only cars permitted to enter will be those who live in this section of Main Street. (City of Hiram via Facebook)
- As of Sunday evening, Paulding County authorities are asking residents to help find a runaway teenager. Tiffany Wright, 14, went missing on Friday morning. According to authorities, she was last seen around 8:20 a.m. near Lookout Drive. If you have any information that could help find Wright, call 911 or contact the Paulding County Sheriff's Office at 770-443-3010. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- If you have spare canned food, consider making a donation to the Dallas Public Library. The library is collecting canned food items throughout the month of February. All donations go to Helping Hands. Cans can be delivered anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (West Georgia Regional Library System)
