Artisan Built Communities is gearing up for the grand opening of 1872 Township on Saturday, November 1 at 11 a.m., welcoming buyers to experience a new standard of affordable living in Rockmart. The event unveils introductory pricing and incentives and features a food truck, home tours and a glimpse of the lifestyle offered in this amenity-rich community. Homes at 1872 Township are priced from $298,900 and display the builder’s Horizon by Artisan Built brand. Plus, they offer access to Rockmart’s only residential waterpark.
Located in the scenic Coosa Valley, 1872 Township is a fresh take on small-town charm, honoring Rockmart’s 1872 founding year while creating a vibrant, modern atmosphere for residents. Upon completion, the community will feature 198 single-family homes and a future phase with townhomes. Construction is well underway, and sales officially launch Nov. 1, giving early buyers the first opportunity to claim their favorite home sites and floor plans while also taking advantage of introductory pricing and limited-time incentives.
“1872 Township captures everything homebuyers love about our Horizon communities — affordability without compromise, on-trend design and amenities that bring neighbors together,” said Stephen Haines, President of Artisan Built Communities. “We can’t wait to welcome the first homeowners to Rockmart’s newest and most exciting address.”
The Horizon home collection at 1872 Township includes nine ranch and two-story designs ranging from 1,234 to 2,419 square feet with two to five bedrooms and up to three bathrooms. Each home features stylish interiors with open-concept layouts, modern farmhouse accents and thoughtfully curated finishes. Granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances make the kitchen a culinary dream, while 9-foot ceilings (per plan) and energy-efficient technologies promote well-being and long-term comfort.
The community’s centerpiece, The Backyard at 1872, turns every day into a getaway. Residents will enjoy:
- The Splash Zone, a full-cale waterpark with slides and kids’ play area
- A lap pool and sundeck
- The 1872 Club with gathering spaces and grilling stations
- Adventure Park playground
- Paws & Play dog park
- Two pickleball courts
1872 Township is ideally situated near the Silver Comet Trail, Nathan Dean Park and downtown Rockmart, putting residents close to shopping at Walmart, Ingles Market and the Rockmart Farmers Market, with easy commutes to major employers and attractions in Hiram, Cartersville and Rome.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to join the Priority List today at 1872Township.com. Priority members receive first access to home sites and floor plans before sales officially open in November.
