Hayrides, Inflatables, Face Painting: McKenna Farms Fall Festival
The 17th annual Dallas festival is hosted by McKenna Farms, a nonprofit providing therapy services to people with disabilities.
DALLAS, GA — Looking for weekend plans? Head out to McKenna Farms this Saturday for its Fall Festival.
McKenna Farms Therapy Services, a nonprofit offering therapy for people with disabilities up to age 21, is hosting its 17th annual festival Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 17-acre farm, located at 3044 Due West Road in Dallas. Proceeds go toward the farm to help fund its operations.
There's a $10 entry fee, which includes access to the festival's live music, hayrides, inflatables, face painting, games and crafts. Children age 2 and under get in free.

McKenna Farms began in 2001 with 10 children, one physical therapist assistant, five volunteers and two horses, according to its website. Today, it grew to 23 therapists who serve more than 500 children every week, offering physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as therapeutic riding.

Each therapy service is provided in various settings, including clinical, aquatic and through equine movement in hippotherapy. There are eight therapy cottages at the farm, outdoor and indoor riding arenas, a sensory trail, wooded adventure trail and a barn that houses 15 horses and two mini horses.
