Hiram Books to Open Saturday

Paulding County's newest independent bookstore passed its inspection.

Paulding County's newest independent bookstore passed its inspection, clearing the way for its grand opening this weekend.

Jerry and Trayce Finney, the owners of the new Hiram Books, tentatively scheduled the bookstore's grand opening for this Saturday while they awaited the results of that inspection.

Tuesday, the couple posted the following message on Hiram Books' official Facebook page:

WE PASSED OUR INSPECTIONS!!!! NOW WE CAN DEFINITELY SAY OUR GRAND OPENING WILL BE THIS SATURDAY JULY 13TH! WE WANT TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE WE CAN GET IN THIS PLACE SO TELL EVERYONE TO COME IN CHECK US OUT! WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!

The bookstore will initially operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. During those hours, bookworms can find new and gently used books from various genres, according to a report from the Paulding Neighbor.

Hiram Books is at 5077 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy., Suite 109, next to Cheeseburger Bobby's, Super Gater Gamz and American Family Insurance off Highway 278.
