- The Hiram Farmers Market is finally kicking off this Thursday, Jun. 23! Every Thursday through Sept. 29, local farmers and other community vendors will be selling their goods at 76 Seaboard Street from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Those interested in becoming a regular vendor or guest vendor can learn more at keeppaudlingbeautiful.org. - There's a lot happening at the Maude P. Ragsdale Library in Hiram this week! All week, there will be Tiny Turtle Art and Paint a Seashell craft kits available. Tomorrow (Jun. 21), drop off your 10 to 18-year-olds for Summer Switch Hangout at 3 p.m. Then, on Wednesday the 22nd, enjoy Coffee with a Councilor at 10:00 a.m. and a STEAM Engine Visit at 3:00 p.m. Get all the details on the library's website. - On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., special guest Annie Pruitt will be at the Dallas Public Library to demonstrate and create 3D printed works in a special event for teens called "Steam Engine." - Does your little one love Moana? Mark your calendars for this Friday, Jun. 24, for a very special Movie at the Pool, hosted by the City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department! The beloved Disney film will be screened at the Sara Babb Pool (216 Recreation Drive) at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and a fruit punch stand will be available. - Just in time for barbecue season, Sam's Club is bringing back its $8 membership deal! You can sign up at any local Sam's Club, including the one in Hiram at 4798 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy. This special pricing is more than 75 percent off the regular price of $45. - The free DPH COVID-19 testing sites in Paulding counties will be closed on Monday, Jun. 20 in observance of Juneteenth. Normal hours resume on Tuesday. (Calhoun Times)
- On Jun. 25 at 3:00 p.m., Seraphims of Heaven will be hosting an event entitled "Removing the Stigma: Mental Health Awareness" for Paulding County community organizations, mental health professionals/associations, law enforcement, and churches.
