- In Week 8 of Class 5A, Hiram High School knocked Calhoun from its No. 6 state ranking down to No. 8. The Hornets will be back home this Friday to play against Cartersville and hope to continue their winning streak. Cartersville is on shaky ground due to the recent replacement of their quarterback. - Over the weekend, the city of Hiram hosted Faith & Blue with the Hiram Police Department. The event aimed to bring the community together through games and vendors — even a NASCAR car.
