- The City of Hiram is seeking bids for the FY2023 Renovation of 76 Seaboard Street, with proposals due by Thursday, March 23 at 10 a.m. The purpose of the renovation is to create a facility for the City of Hiram’s Summer Camp, Camp Hornet. Bidders must have at least 10 years of General Contract experience, provide three references, and comply with Georgia laws. - Following the successful opening of its first 10,000 square foot facility in Dallas in 2019, Walmart has announced plans to expand its "Walmart Health" centers. In 2024, the company will open 28 new doctor-staffed locations in seven states, almost doubling the number of facilities it currently operates. These new centers, which will be approximately 5,750 square feet and located inside Walmart Supercenters, will provide a wide range of health services, including primary care, dental care, behavioral health, labs and X-ray, audiology, and Walmart Health Virtual Care telehealth services. - New Georgia Public Library: The New Georgia Public Library is excited to announce the launch of a Children's Book Club, which will convene twice a month.
