(ICYMI) Paulding County Schools Improve ACT Scores
The average score for the Paulding County School District increased in all four content areas: English, Math, Reading and Science.
Paulding County students who took the ACT in 2015 scored higher than in years past, according to results released this week.
The average Composite Score was 20.0. That’s a half point higher than last year’s composite score.
The ACT measures a high school student’s general educational development and their ability to complete college level work.

The average score for the Paulding County School District increased in all four content areas: English, Math, Reading and Science. It is the highest has been in any of the previous five years.
The ACT is administered at different times throughout the year. The number of students taking the ACT in the county has increased every year for the past five years, from 427 in 2011 to 598 in 2015.

The gap between the state average and the average for the Paulding County School District has decreased in all content areas and the composite score from 2014 to 2015. All colleges and universities in Georgia accept scores from the ACT for admission purposes.
