  1. Former US President Jimmy Carter has entered hospice care, prompting well-wishers to pay homage to his legacy in Atlanta and his small Baptist church in Plains, Georgia. His niece, Kim Fuller, quoted one of Carter's memorable statements, “I have one life and one chance to make it count for something," during the Sunday school service at Maranatha Baptist Church. Carter, who served one term as president, was commended for his advocacy for democracy, public health, and human rights via The Carter Center. (CW33 Dallas)
  2. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has completed work in Atlanta on his upcoming Amazon Prime Video Christmas movie, Red One, which also stars Chris Evans and J.K. Simmons. Based on an original story penned by Hiram Garcia, the film is described as a "globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy" that offers a new take on the holiday genre. Red One is set to be released during the 2023 holiday season, and was directed by Jake Kasdan, who previously worked with Johnson on the Jumanji movies. (FanBolt)
  3. Portions of a report by a special grand jury that spent almost eight months investigating whether Donald Trump or his allies interfered illegally in Georgia’s 2020 election have been released by a Fulton County judge. However, much of the document will remain sealed in order to preserve due process rights of potential future defendants in the case. It is not known when the full report will be released or when any potential indictments will be made, although it is believed that some of the 18 people named as targets of the investigation could be indicted.
