- Attorneys representing a man injured during an interaction with a deputy last year are taking legal action against the Paulding County Sheriff's department. Tyler Canaris was hospitalized after being restrained and slammed on the ground by Deputy Michael McMaster. The incident was caught on video and has raised public interest in the case, with Canaris’ attorneys demanding accountability for the officer involved and the leaders in the department who overlooked his history of violent behavior.
