  1. The Hiram Police Department is looking to identify a man who left a pet carrier of kittens at a Dunkin Donuts on Dec. 31, 2022. The man – pictured at the link – left four kittens inside a pet carrier outside of the Dunkin Donuts in Hiram. Police believe he was driving a newer model Ford Mustang. Anyone with information on the identification of the man is asked to call (770) 943-3087 Ex.2011 or email CIDTIPS@hiram-ga.gov. (Hiram Police Department)
  2. Paulding County School District's Psychological Services program is the first in Georgia to receive Proficient Status from the National Association of School Psychologists’ Excellence in School Psychological Services Recognition Program. The status recognizes the program's psychologists who are dedicated to supporting and learning the mental health status of all students so they can thrive in and outside of school. The recognition will serve for five years. (Paulding County School District)
  3. Paulding County Sheriff's Office Deputy Zackery Dubreuiel was recently recognized on a big stage — the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Deputy Dubreuiel was nominated in the state of Georgia and chosen to represent the state during the National SERVPRO First Responder Bowl week. The deputy was recognized on the field at the Celebration Bowl on Dec. 17, 2022. He was selected for his life-saving efforts on an unresponsive baby on Sep. 30, 2022.   4. In case you missed it: Vintage Wine Bar, of Dallas, has been named the best bar by Best of Georgia 2022. The establishment wrote on its Facebook page, "Vintage Wine Bar is blessed to be located in the best town in Georgia, Dallas.   5. The Rural Ascent Agricultural Program for Women-Owned Farms and Ranches is currently accepting applications now through Jan. 15 for farmers who've been operating for less than five years to grow their businesses. The 12-week virtual program will offer an interactive virtual platform with access to resources, other rural entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts to consult with.
