HIRAM, GA β€” A Paulding County man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a stabbing that left another man hospitalized and in critical condition, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

At 3:41 a.m. Tuesday, Paulding Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from a homeowner on Hiram Sudie Road referencing a stabbing. They found the victim, 36-year-old Ryan Thompson, on the ground with multiple stab wounds across his body, the sheriff's office said.

Thompson was taken to an Atlanta area hospital in critical condition. The person who reported the stabbing, who was one of Thompson's neighbors, said Thompson ran to the neighbor's home to get away from the suspect β€” later identified as 29-year-old Dylan "DJ" Hill β€” who then fled the scene.
