  1. Celebrate the Festival of Lights! Nearby Marietta will be hosting the annual Menorah Lighting in Marietta Square on Dec. 23. Led by Rabbi Joseph from Congregation Ner Tamid, the event will include door prizes and Hanukkah music. You'll also get to enjoy free hot chocolate, delicious donuts, and tons of chocolate gelt.   4. A 10-year-old girl was rescued from a house fire that broke out on Sunday morning. The fire occurred off of Crescent Woode Drive in a Hiram townhouse. Several people managed to escape, but a little girl remained trapped. Firefighters were able to save the child. She has been airlifted to a hospital in Eggleston. The cause of the fire is being investigated. (13WMAZ.com)
  5. Paulding County employees are participating in Spirit Week! Monday began the fun week with Christmas Hat Day. Employees from the Sheriff's Office threw on their favorite festive hats to celebrate. Even more fun holiday-themed hijinks are planned throughout the week.
