Gwinnett detectives found evidence in the car "which indicated that some type of assault had occurred," according to a news release, and they called in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Paulding sheriff's office and Cobb County Police Department for help finding Williams.

Following investigations in Cobb and Paulding counties Dec. 8, authorities obtained a search warrant for Brock's home on Valley Brook Drive in Dallas. Brock was known to be an associate of Williams.
