New Waste Company for Hiram

Hiram has entered into a three-year contract with a new solid waste provider.

The Paulding Neighbor reports that come July 1, residents will receive curbside trash pickup and recycling service for $12.50 per month from Waste Industries.

The rate is $16.50 for backdoor "valet" service, $10 for seniors 65 to 69 years old and $8 for those who are at least 70 years old.

Applications for service are scheduled to be sent out this week, according to the Neighbor.

Trash cans will arrive at residents’ homes between June 24 and June 28.
