NYC And Paulding First Responders To Commemorate 9/11 Anniversary
The Retired New York Shields of Georgia will join the Paulding sheriff's office and fire department to commemorate 9/11 at Mt. Tabor Park.
DALLAS, GA — Representatives from New York City first-responder agencies will join the Paulding County’s sheriff's office and fire department in commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11 this year at Mt. Tabor Park.
This event will honor the family, friends, and all Americans that were affected by the tragedy of 9/11, according to a statement from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
The ceremony, to start at 8:40 a.m., will take place at the 9/11 memorial site at Mt. Tabor Park. The remembrance will be led by the sheriff’s honor guard, the Paulding County Fire Department honor guard and the Retired New York Shields of Georgia.

All are invited to attend. As a precaution, social distancing will be practiced at this outdoor event.
"We will never forget this horrible day," said Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge. "We will always remember the families of the heroes that died that day. We will never forget about the ones that lived through the horrifying experience and are left with terrifying memories."
