- Election officials in the offices of Paulding County are approaching the upcoming election with "some trepidation." The Supervisor of Elections and Voter Registration is Deirdre Holden, who is an unelected civil servant, has been threatened following the 2020 presidential election. Deirdre said, "I never was scared. I was mad. Mad that someone tries to threaten us, to
threaten the people that just want to cast their vote. That didn't sit very well with me." (BBC News) - The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office identified the human remains found north of Muskogee in May as 26-year-old Briana Chantelle Williams of Dallas. The cause of death is still unknown and the manner of death is "undetermined."(Muskogee Phoenix)
- The Paulding Pro Rodeo is coming to Paulding Meadows Park in Dallas this weekend! Gates open at 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8. (Hardy CBG via Twitter)
- Detention Officer Janice Borders officially retired from the Paulding County Sheriff's Office on Monday, Oct. 3. After a 21-year law enforcement career, Officer Borders will now have more time to spend with family. (Dallas-Hiram Patch)
