Paulding Cops For Kids Christmas Shopping Registrations Start In November

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — The Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. Christmas shopping event is making its 23rd round in the county, and Paulding Sheriff Gary Gulledge has announced the requirements, income guidelines and registrations for 2021.

Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. takes underprivileged children ages 6 to 13 who live in Paulding County and pairs them with a Paulding County Sheriff's Office deputy to go shopping at Christmas. The 2021 event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 11 at 7 a.m. at the Walmart on Marietta Highway in Dallas.

The exact address is 3615 Marietta Highway, Dallas.

Unlike past years, Paulding Cops for Kids, Inc. will no longer accept siblings under the age of 6 or over the age of 13, even if they're in the same household. Additionally, if you've participated in the program for the past two years (2019 and 2020), you will not be eligible to participate in 2021.

Requirements

• Proof of residence in Paulding County (utility bill, phone bill, etc.).
• Photo ID.
• Proof of income (EBT, WIC, TANF paperwork/receipts/statements).
• Birth certificate (for each child).

Income guidelines (based on gross monthly income)

• Family size of two: $1,549/month
• Family size of three: $2,008/month
• Family size of four: $2,422/month
• Family size of five: $2,836/month
• Family size of six: $3,249/month
• Family size of seven: $3,663/month
• Family size of eight: $4,077/month
• Family size of nine: $4,491/month
• Family size of 10: $4,905/month

Families larger than 10 should add $414 for each additional member to calculate the proper income guidelines.

Registration

Registration will be held every Tuesday evening in November inside the lobby of the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, 180 Constitution Blvd., Dallas, from 6-8 p.m. on a first come, first served basis. Here are the dates:

• Tuesday, Nov. 9
• Tuesday, Nov. 16
• Tuesday, Nov. 23
• Tuesday, Nov. 30

Since normal business will be conducted until 5 p.m., the Paulding sheriff's office is asking that those coming to register to not enter the lobby until registration begins at 6 p.m.
