  1. Don't be caught off guard on Thursday morning. According to the City of Hiram, Georgia Power will be conducting work in the city on Thursday morning. The city expects residents will experience a temporary loss of power between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. If your Thursday alarm depends on a wall socket, you may need to make a backup plan.   4. A Paulding County woman was reported missing on Monday. Jennifer Orris, 39, was last seen on Palisades Drive in Atlanta. She could be driving a black Chevy Blazer and might be wearing a light blue tank top and jeans, according to authorities. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Paulding County Sheriff's Office. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  5. Senator Jason Anavitarte of Dallas proposed legislation in the Georgia Senate that would close a loophole in Georgia's apportionment statute. The bill, SB 203, would, among other things related to trucking, prevent a plaintiff from joining a motor carrier and insurance carrier in the same tort or contract action. Opponents of the bill say that the loophole was closed in 2022, and the bill would actually benefit insurance companies. (Law.com)
