Paulding Election 2019: Voting Hours, Polls

PAULDING COUNTY, GA β€” It's that time of year: election season. On Nov. 5, Americans around the county will go to the polls and vote. Many races are contested, but some are not.

Throughout Paulding County, voters will decide whether to renew a one percent educational sales tax.

In Dallas, voters will decide on four city council seats, two of which are contested.

In Hiram, voters will decide on a new mayor and whether to allow the city to permit and regulate alcohol sales between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the so called Brunch Bill. The two city council seats are uncontested.

Georgia Voters are required to show one of six forms of valid photo identification when voting in person, during the absentee or advanced voting period or at the polls on Election Day. The valid forms of identification are as follows:

  • A valid State or federal government photo ID
  • A valid U.S. passport
  • A valid government employee photo ID (city, county, state or U.S. government)
  • A valid U.S. military photo ID
  • A valid Tribal photo ID
