Paulding Increases Elections Fee

The Dallas City Council last week decided to delay a vote on a contract with Paulding County.

The cost to conduct Dallas' election this fall will be $2,000 more than the 2011 election, and that has some city officials considering cheaper options.

The Paulding Neighbor reports that the city council last week decided to delay a vote on a contract with Paulding County for conducting the city’s election to fill three open council seats and a referendum on Sunday alcohol sales.

The county increased the amount of the elections fee to an estimated $9,548.
