Paulding Man Charged With Murder, Arson For Deadly Mobile Home Fire
A house fire that killed a woman and her dog led Paulding County authorities to arrest the woman's son for arson and murder.

DALLAS, GA β A Paulding County man has been charged with murder and arson in connection with the death of his mother in a house fire on April 22.
Bryan Dwayne Jones, 51, is being held without bond in the Paulding County Jail. He was arrested on April 26 and charged on May 19, according to Paulding County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Ashley Henson.
The charges stem from a mobile-home fire on Due West Road in Dallas. After the fire was extinguished, rescuers discovered the body of Deborah Jones, 72, along with the carcass of the family dog.

After making what authorities called βnonsensicalβ and βerraticβ statements, Bryan Jones β the son of Deborah Jones β fled the scene of the fire. He was arrested a few days later in Cedartown.
Jones is charged with murder, arson and concealing the death of another, all felonies. He also is charged with misdemeanor cruelty to animals in connection with the death of the family dog.
