Paulding Man Fatally Shoots Estranged Wife, Charged With Murder
The woman was a 37-year-old Cobb Co. teacher who was killed when her husband broke into her Dallas home and shot her, authorities say.
DALLAS, GA β A 37-year-old Cobb County schoolteacher was shot and killed by her husband during a weekend domestic-related incident at a Topaz Drive home, the Paulding County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Authorities said Jasmyn Victoria Lambert was the estranged wife of Tyron Lambert, 42, of Hiram, who was accused of fatally shooting her Saturday in the 160 block of Topaz.
Officers initially responded to the home after a visitor reported a domestic dispute/home invasion. Authorities said Tyron Lambert had forced his way into the home through a backdoor and pointed a gun at multiple people while threatening them.

Tyron Lambert was then accused of fleeing the scene after learning authorities had been notified. Authorities placed the home on "zone patrol" and a be-on-the-lookout alert was issued for Tyron Lambert and his vehicle.
Authorities were called to the home a second time around 7:15 a.m. after being told Tyron Lambert had returned and forced himself into the home again. When deputies arrived, they heard a gunshot and immediately went into the home as Tyron Lambert was attempting to flee the scene, authorities said.
