Paulding Restaurant Inspections: Birdies' Wings, Thai Mango

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — With classes now underway, two of the seven restaurant and food-service inspections conducted over the last two weeks in Paulding County were at schools.

The good news is that both school cafeterias inspected scored an A, with one rating a perfect 100. In fact, almost all operations inspected earned either an A or B rating.

One restaurant, though — Birdies' Wings and More in Dallas — scored a 78 and earned only a C rating. A link to its inspection is included with its listing below. Low-scoring restaurants typically are given a second chance and re-inspected a few weeks later.

How They're Rated

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70 and U for less than 70.
