- Dallas City Council will be holding a public hearing on the proposed Dallas Redevelopment Plan at today's regularly scheduled meeting at 5:15 p.m. The hearing will allow the public to comment on the plan, as well as Tax Allocation District No. 1. Other items on today's council meeting agenda include a discussion of a warranty bond release for the Huntleigh Chase Subdivision Phase III, a scoping study contract for the Battlefield Trail, and a master list of City Council appointments. - On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Paulding County Rotary Club held its 30th annual Invitational Christmas Parade in downtown Dallas. The theme for this year's parade was "Imagine," and kicked off at 1 p.m. If you missed the parade, you can check out livestreamed recordings of the day on Paulding County's Facebook page. - Registration for Dallas' upcoming Breakfast with Santa event closes this Friday, Dec. 9, at 4:00 p.m. or until limited spots are filled. The breakfast will be held at Sara Babb Park on Saturday, Dec. 17, and will include take-home activities for kids. Pancakes will be served with your choice of a side. The registration fee is $15. - The Dallas Police Department invites you to join them on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. for a town hall meeting at Dallas City Hall. The department will discuss crime prevention techniques with the public, and will also provide an update to business owners on how they are working to reduce criminal activity in Dallas.
