Rep. Graves Votes to Lift Ban on Crude Oil Exports

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 702, legislation that lifts the 40-year-old ban on U.S. crude oil exports:

β€œLifting the outdated ban on U.S. crude oil exports is an important part of developing a healthy economy. It will help lock in lower gas prices and create more than 300,000 jobs. Additionally, in the face of Russian aggression and continued turmoil in the Middle East, lifting the ban will help provide energy stability to our friends and allies around the world.”

H.R. 702 passed the House by a bipartisan vote of 261 to 159.
