- The New Georgia Public Library now serves as a one-stop shop for teens looking for assistance with their literature class! On Monday, Sep. 19, at 4:30 p.m. library staff will be available to help students work through books assigned at school or proofread literature essays. - State Superintendent Richard Woods presented STEM Certification Banners to two Paulding County School District campuses on Wednesday. The banners confirmed Paulding County High School's five-year STEM re-certification and McGarity Elementary School's new status as a Georgia STEM Certified school. During the visit, the superintendent also toured STEM labs at the high school and the Children's Garden at the elementary school. (Paulding County School District via Facebook)
- The Paulding County Sheriffβs Office is asking drivers to share their input in a new traffic survey. The survey will help inform improvements for the US 278 Corridor, including roadway expansion, intersection improvements, and alternative routes. - On Wednesday, the Paulding County Emergency Management Agency hosted a tabletop exercise regarding a school shooting scenario. Paulding County first responders, healthcare officials, school system officials, and others were on-site to participate in the exercise, designed to help leaders across Paulding County prepare for dangerous scenarios. - Enjoy a night out on the town with a live performance at the Dallas Theater! This season's next show is Clue, presented by the Main Street Players, from Oct. 7 to 16. The classic murder mystery will be played out by the theatre's in-house troupe of volunteer actors.
