The Weekender: Southern Fried Murder Dinner Theater; CAC Concert Series

This weekend get out to the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County's Kinna Chamber Concerts series featuring pianist Joe Chapman, a family reunion workshop, and the Southern Fried Murder Dinner Theater.

CAC Concert Series

  • What: The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County's Kinna Chamber Concerts series features pianist Joe Chapman on March 9 and 9 String Theory on April 13.
  • Where: The Cultural Arts Center
  • When: Second Saturday evenings in February, March and April 2013.Performances begin at 7 p.m. and are followed by a reception in honor of the musicians.
  • Cost: Tickets for the Kinna Chamber Concert series are available for $15 per person, $12 for CAC members and $5 for students and music teachers for each concert, or a subscription price of $30 for all three concerts.

Family Reunion Workshop

  • What: Learn how to plan a memorable family reunion. The family reunion workshop includes a “How to Plan a Family Reunion” presentation led by a professional family reunion planning specialist, as well as a meet and greet with hospitality industry partners specializing in family reunions.
  • When: Saturday, March 9, 10 a.m.

Southern Fried Murder Dinner Theater

  • What: Comedy-mystery interactive dinner theater. Presented by local theater group CAST. Tickets include show, dinner, dessert, non-alcoholic beverages and gratuity.
  • When: March 9, 23 and 29 from 7 to 10 p.m.
  • Where: The Olive Tree Restaurant 37 Beatty St, Hiram, GA 30141
  • Cost: $36
