HIRAM, GA — Just 12 days after the military’s best known aerobatic squadrons saluted Atlanta first responders with a flyover, WellStar Paulding Hospital in Hiram will get a flyover of its own Thursday evening.

Starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, the U.S. Air Force Reserve plans to fly its C-130H3 Hercules aircraft over eight hospitals near Interstate 75. The planes are expected to pass over WellStar Paulding between 6:38 and 6:41 p.m.

The C-130 flyover will begin at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta before going to Kennesaw, Canton, Jasper, Dalton, Rome, Cartersville and Hiram.

Paulding County residents who want to see the flyover are asked to watch it from home in order to maintain social distancing.

In late April and early May, the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels and the U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds honored first responders by flying over Atlanta and other major cities.
