You may not need it Monday, but don't push the umbrella to the back of the closet just yet. We'll have a persistent threat of showers and storms for most of the week before it clears out to give us a good weekend.

Most of the week looks like this: partly sunny with a chance of showers.

The best chance? There's a 50 percent chance during the day Thursday and again Thursday night, and a 40 percent chance for the commute Friday.

If we can hold out for it, we'll see mostly sunny skies come Friday and a sunny Saturday worth waiting for.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 85.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 85.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.
