Good morning, Decatur and Avondale Estates. Here are 5 Things to know about today.

1. Weather. High temp in the low 90s, low temp in the low 70s. Chance of rain between 30 and 60 percent through the day.

2. . Students at the summer camp at Agnes Scott College will perform a song and dance from The Lion King,Β Grease, andΒ Hairspray at 6 p.m. at the college. The performance will be repeated at 6 p.m. Friday. Free.

3. A family of writers. The mother and son writing team of Iris and Roy Johansen will discuss their new book "Close Your Eyes" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Eagle Eye Bookshop.Β Free.

4. Firearms seminar. If you want to learn more about how to safely handle guns, the Avondale Estates police is holding a citizens' seminar on "Firearm Ownership in the Home" from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 21 at city hall.
