Good morning, Decatur and Avondale Estates. Here are five things you need to know about today.

1. Cool down -- a little. It will be partly cloudy and not as hot as yesterday. Highs are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 80s with lows around 66. Sunrise will be 6:29 a.m. and sunset 8:52 p.m.

2. Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist David Maraniss will talk about his new biography, Barack Obama: The Story. He's also written bios of baseball great Roberto Clemente, football legend Vince Lombardi and President Bill Clinton. 7 p.m. at Presser Hall at Agnes Scott College. Free.

3. Parents of kids at the 4/5 Academy in Decatur are invited to talk with school system officials about planned renovations. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the school.

4. Professional drum circle leaders will get kids and parents moving on Family Fun Night at the Decatur Library. This free event starts at 7 p.m.

5. Joe Gransden at Twain's Billards and Tap. The trumpeter/singer plays his regular Tuesday night gig at this Decatur tavern. The music starts at 9 p.m. No cover.
