  1. “Life and the Afterlife: Ancient Egyptian Art from the Senusret Collection,” is being showcased at the Michael C. Carlos Museum. The exhibit has been on display since Feb. and is ongoing until August 6. The Ancient Egyptian exhibition depicts objects and their meanings connected to daily life, sacred life, and life after the physical form in Ancient Egypt. The collection, named after King Senusret II’s pyramid village, Hetep-Senusret in the Faiyum, was gifted by the Georges Ricard Foundation with the (Decaturish.com )

  4. (Recap) There has been a major break in a Decatur murder case from 2022. 19- year-old, Chris L. Jackson, of Atlanta, is now in police custody. According to reports by DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson made an attempt to flee the scene but was apprehended by a K9 officer. After his arrest, he was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for injuries that occurred as he was attempting to escape. (The Georgia Sun), (Patch)
