• Murder Suspect, 2 Others Escape DeKalb Jail: U.S. Marshals (patch.com) — Residents in Decatur are being urged to use extreme caution after three inmates, including an "extremely dangerous" murder suspect, escaped from the DeKalb County Jail sometime late Sunday or early Monday. DeKalb County authorities and U.S. Marshals have launched a multi-agency manhunt and are asking anyone who spots the fugitives to avoid approaching them and call 911 or the fugitive tip line immediately.
   

• Father mourns daughter's fatal fall at ‘Stranger Things' site: ‘She was perfect' (fox5atlanta.com) — A 19-year-old woman died after falling from a five-story abandoned building on Emory’s Briarcliff campus near North Decatur Road, a spot known for “Stranger Things” filming. Her grieving father is warning local teens to avoid trespassing in fenced-off, vacant buildings and a fundraiser has been launched to help cover her burial costs.
