Avondale Arts Alliance Extends Application Deadlines for Festival

Autumn Fest 2013 is Oct. 5 and 6.

The Avondale Arts Alliance, which plans to bring its Autumn Fest 2013 on Oct. 5 and 6, said it has extended its deadline for Artist/Vendor, Food and KidsZone applications.

From the organization:

There's a diverse artist market, KidsZone, chef demos, food trucks, a community art project and live entertainment for all ages! Food and drink vendors will stay open Saturday night so festival goers can enjoy the live music of our headliner The Whiskey Gentry, a band that performs, as NPR put it, “high-energy countrified bluegrass punk music” and who has released their latest album, Holly Grove, on September 10! See our entertainment lineup on our website!

Artist/Vendor, Food and KidsZone applications are available on our website. Deadline has been extended to Friday, September 20!
We're so excited about our new addition to the festival this year called AutumnEats which will be hosted by Avondale Estates' very own Rusty Bowers of Pine Street Market and Layne Whitehead-Lee of Sweet n’ Sinful Bakery.
AutumnEats comprises a chef demo area that will include locally farmed and sourced ingredients and wine and beer pairings. In addition to demos by Rusty and Layne, Terry Koval with Wrecking Bar BrewPub and Nick Melvin with Doux South will also be sharing their expertise! Young Chef's Academy will have their young chef's performing a demo bothSaturday and Sunday at 3:30 pm.
And check out Jim Stacy with Pallookaville Fine Foods Saturday at 5:30 pm!  He'll be whipping up some most excellent treats just before The Whiskey Gentry hits the main stage!
Chef demos will be scheduled every two hours throughout the weekend starting at 11:30 am on Saturday and 12:30 pm on Sunday. Visit our website for a complete schedule.
