Blue Sky Concerts Started Wednesday

A month of free music kicks off at noon Wednesday, May 2, with the first Blue Sky Concert.

The alt-country band McNary performs from noon to 1 p.m. The weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the 80s. Pick up some lunch and enjoy the music.

The rest of the Blue Sky Concert schedule goes like this:

May 9 -- The Loose Shoes Band (Classic rock and blues covers).
May 16 -- Zydeco T (Zydeco).
May 23 -- Alex Richard Commins and Todd Prusin (Acoustic folk).
May 30 -- Joe Gransden (Jazz).

On Saturday night, the first Concert on the Square will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Again, the music is free.

May 5 -- High Strung String Band (Bluegrass).
May 12 -- Evening concert TBA (Part of Decatur Greenfest).
May 19 -- Tom Hill and The Midnight Suns (Oldies and r&b covers).
May 26 -- Uptown Entertainment Band (Party and dance covers).
