  3. DeKalb County Super District 7 Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson introduced a resolution on April 11. It is intended to establish a Business Code of Conduct that mandates vendors and contractors to report pending litigation or violations of federal, state, and municipal laws, and changes in their corporate structure within 14 days of the change.
The policy is designed to enforce procurement policies that ensure the DeKalb Governing Authority is fully aware of matters involving contractors. (On Common Ground News)
  4. Brave and Kind Bookshop, is a children’s bookstore specializing in diverse and inclusive children's books. It's in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur. The owner, Bunnie Hilliard runs the bookstore. It is Black-owned and was founded in 2018, though Hilliard said that the idea had been brewing since she was pregnant with her daughter, who is now a teenager.
