- DeKalb County announced plans to kick off its yearlong bicentennial celebrations on Dec. 9. Celebrations will include the unveiling of a mural that depicts the history of the county. The event will be free and open to the public. (Press Release Desk)
- The Decatur City Commission approved budgets for security cameras to be installed in several Decatur parks and in downtown Decatur. There will be a total of 27 cameras installed in the parks over the next two to three months. (Decaturish.com )
- DeKalb County Police are seeking the public's help in locating a mother and daughter who were last seen leaving their Decatur home. The 15-year-old mother and her one-year-old daughter have been missing since Dec. 3. Police ask anyone with information to call the Special Victims Unit at (770) 724-7710. (Patch)
