- DeKalb County will be opening warming centers for residents in need tonight. One of the warming centers will be Avondale Estates' Fire Station Three on North Clarendon Avenue. Anyone staying at a warming center must abide by the county's COVID-19 policies. The warming centers will begin opening at 8:00 p.m. Click for warming center information. (On Common Ground News)
- Two Decatur plant stores are feuding. PlantHouse, a big box plant store, and Lush Plant Co., a homegrown business, are at odds after a supplier dispute occurred over the Thanksgiving holiday. Local residents are rallying to support Lush Plant Co. after a Florida-based supplier ended its relationship with the company to preserve its relationship with PlantHouse.(Decaturish.com )
- A beloved DeKalb County cafeteria worker was killed in a Monday morning crash. Shirley Revere had worked with DeKalb County School District for almost two decades. The crash occurred while Revere was driving to work on Covington Highway. The DeKalb County Police Department has opened an investigation into the crash. (WSBTV)
