The victim of last week's Decatur gas station shooting has been identified. 36-year-old Demario Parrish, a father of three, was fatally shot while trying to break up an argument at the Chevron gas station on Candler Road. 2. Local faith leaders reacted to Georgia's "heartbeat law" going into effect. Rev. Andy Acton of Emory Presbyterian Church in Decatur noted that the Presbyterian denomination traditionally holds progressive views, including supporting a woman's right to choose. Acton added, "I think also Presbyterians take the stance that if you're going to be pro-life, then you should be pro-life about everything, right?
